Functional Skills ICT is a 12 week programme that can help build your skills and confidence.

The course is suitable for the learners who have the know-how of computer/computer skills and want to improve their everyday usage of the computer to help them become more efficient in the workplace or apply their skills at home.

The course will focus on three main core areas:  • Using ICT  • Finding and selecting information  • Developing, presenting and communicating information

Topics that will be covered under those headings include:  • Database  • Email  • File Management  • Health, Safety and Security  • Spreadsheets  • Using software appropriately to meet data-handling tasks  • Combining and presenting information

This course will help learners to gain skills and knowledge, increasing confidence of how to use ICT effectively.

Eligibility & Initial Assessments  To be eligible for the courses you will be asked to complete an initial assessment.

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements :

– you have lived in the UK or EU for at least the last three years or you are a family members of a UK/EEA national and    

   fulfil certain requirements (discussed at your assessment)

– you live in a London /Greater London Borough

– you are not in full time education

– you have not achieved this qualification before

– you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2021
